About Boss and McGill House
Boss and McGill Houses are two Carnegie Mellon residence halls which make up the BaM community. First created in 1915, these residence halls have the special designation as being the oldest residence halls on the Carnegie Mellon Campus. Currently, they have turned into unique living spaces. Boss House is home to 70 students who apply to live in the space due to their interests in Leadership, Global Citizenship, Community Service, and Wellness.
McGill House is the only all-female housing community on the Carnegie Mellon campus. McGill is home to a combination of 70 first year and upperclass women, who focus on the values of Mentorship and Gender Equality. Within McGill, there is an annual program where upperclasmen 7 mentors serve as guiding figures for first-year students within the Boss and McGill community.
